So tonight started out just like any other night. You get home from work, have a shower, then put your feet up in those fluffy little sheep slippers your gran got you for Christmas last year. And as your flicking through the endless mirage of Facebook posts, and Instagram pictures just waiting to be double tapped by the pollex of power; you start thinking to yourself, isn't there some other way that I can say what's on my mind; without writing a Facebook post?
I suppose this could be what you call, my 'Lightbulb Moment'. I started to search 'how to start your own blog'; it seemed pretty simple and quick I thought.... then 4 hours later 5 hours later :D, I desperately took back how easy I believed this was going to be. First job is finding your domain name; easy enough I thought, I'll just use my real name! But no, that would be too simple, they where already taken; as where 10 other possible concoctions of my British birth name. Suddenly, as if by some great fate of chance, I stumbled across the word 'Deity'. I carefully entered each letter into the domain bar... Low and behold, it was available!!! Hoorah, daintydeityblog was born. For those of you who are as is in the dark as I was, ' A deity is a supernatural being, like a god or goddess, which is worshipped by people who believe it controls or exerts force over some aspect of the world. The word deity means "divine nature.''
Well then, when you put it like that, in some way... aren't we all Deities?
I came to realise, why should my domain name represent just me? In the sense, the word Deity could be used for anyone reading this page, (plus it does a huge boost for your self-appreciation; I mean, who doesn't want to be Divine... right! ;)
So now I had the blog site, the domain name and some pretty pictures! Next, what to write about.
I want to use this blog to write about the obvious topics; travelling, emotions, beauty, health etc. But most of all, I want to write blogs that will really help people. I want to write something that everyone can relate to, be involved in, and understand. No matter what the blog topic is, I will strive to make it as adaptable, useful and perceivable as possible.
So, without further ado; let's get this show on the road! I hope you will be joining me along the way :)
